I don't read much religious type literature, this was no frills, great story teller, no BS type Book. Uplifting without crapping rainbows and glitter. Highly recommend for those with an open mind, it does reference a specific religion, but it applies to anyone sho believes in God, a higher power, etc. All it requires is replacing the situations to your own. A book full of truth and light in a trying world. Highly recommend it to as many people as will read it.
This is a very helpful book for dealing with adversity. It is a Christian's guide through tough times.
I must have read this book 100 times. I have bought countless copies and given them to people who were facing adversity in their lives. It's written with an LDS audience in mind. It's short, but it's powerful. It answers the question of why bad things happen to good people. I have two hard copies of my own, but I wanted one to carry around in my , so I bought one more. That's how good this book is. I only wish the author could have stayed with us longer. What insight!
Wonderful talk but you should just download the PDF from the internet for free. This book is TINY (about 6" tall) and has large font and pictures that make it feel like they are just wasting space to make it long enough to be a book. The actual PDF of the talk is 13 pages long. It was hard to read with so few words on each page.
I really love this book. I think we judge people way to harsh and I don't think our father in heaven see thing the same way.
Life was never fair and this book helps us look at who we really are and where we came from.
We had a father that loved us and sent us to earth to make a difference .
We have to remember who we really are.
we were trusted with a great job here on earth.
Stop feeling sorry for your self and get going.
That is what this book taught me.
I didn’t realize how short this was. I really did enjoy it though. I learned a lot about the Atonement of Jesus Christ and His love for us. That noble spirits are often the ones with the hardest trials so they can learn and eradicate abuse and sin from the family. Interesting great read- just wished it was longer.
I am so glad I purchased this little gem. I have read it several times now and it always brings me understanding and comfort. If you are going through a difficult time, processing through past difficulties that are still holding you back, or know someone who is then this will be a worthwhile purchase. Written by a therapist who is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon), it tells stories which context will best be understood by members of the same religion, but anyone who turns to God in times of crises will probably benefit from the understanding that is shed on adversity by this author.
